Aperture: f3.5

My intention here was to focus not only on the girl, but the elements that are influenced by her as she ran.

I have focused on only the areas that I wanted such as the flowing hair and grass in the slipstream.

Great photo. I saw it while I voted in an internetcafe in Stockholm (I said I wouldn't vote, but had some minutes left). It is strange how it works on the mind, the photo does not so much depict a scene, but more a feeling/emotion.

Focus Focus! I'm sure you don't need telling to ignore those cries, but another vote of confidence won't hurt, I'm sure. I never had the time to round to voting on everything, let alone adjusting those votes to their final standings, but this would i think have been high up that list, if not at the top. Sure some folks just don't go for the stylised thing, but some fine judges have approved wholeheartedly too.

I get the impression that you achieved exactly what you were after - truly competent work. One thing only would I change: that slightly weird heart-shaped patch of darkness image left (or eye shaped) - once seen it can't be escaped, and IMO of course, doesn't add anything.

And the first shot I've added to favourites in a while.

Grr - I hate it when my 10s don't win. This one is masterful, really brilliant.

My favorite photographs are those that tell the viewer something beyond what's in the frame. This shot is one of the. I'm sure you're getting hammered but I love the blur and the grain. It really makes this shot. The composition is excellent. 10.

What a great idea and execution. The kinetic feel of this photo is incredible and it totally captures the challenge theme. There seems to be a tad bit too much noise, all though I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. Great work!

Has potential but I don't care for the grain feel and too much blur. Either the subject or the backround should be in focus.

Run girl run! I love the colors, how they are slightly muted and the blur is awesome. 10

sorry ...the blur doesn't really work here...pic just looks out of focus. Try panning the camera with the subject the effect will be a blurred background with more sharpness on the subject. good luck

Seems more blurry to me than having deliberate motion blur. Nice subject, color, and composition though.

Beautiful take and girl; the motion blur doesn't work for me in this one, but that is wholly an opinion. I would have preferred her to be in better focus, with the background blurred. Resolution appears to be poor, but could be the blur giving it that effect.

Lovely intrepretation - very artsy. The only thing that doesn't really work is the terrible white sky. You have several post-processing glitches here and there.

looks like a beautiful scene . Wish something was in focus

Think you should have left the girl in focus, and just motion blurred the background.

I wonder how many 'out of focus' comments you're gonna get? I like this image, regardless. It has movement, emotion and clearly communicates freedom.
