I know this photo won't get a score above 3, but I actually like it for some reason.

I agree, I like it too! Thought it should have done better, but I suppose this kind of style doesn't appeal to the masses.

Critique Club
COMPOSITION - CONTENT -BACKGROUND - I feel you should have focused on one aspect of the room or perhaps set-up a still life of some sort

CAMERA WORK -TECHNICAL - I get the feeling that you were playing around using the tea cup as a filter?you might have got a better effect with artifical lighting rather than the window in the background! very interesting idea.
DIGITAL PROCESSING - TECHNICAL - would be interesting to see what a bit of unsharp mask would do to this image
YOUR OPINION ON THE PHOTO -
I actually voted this image a 5 overall because I felt that it did meet the challenge with its pools of rather nice shades of blue and white. .

Oh well, consider this a failed experiment. Although I still think the score is too low :)

Too modernistic for me. Nothing in focus. Not an attractive photo at all. PTL2

Kind of a hard shot to make. Nice effort. Focus seems off. 6 waltoml.

Is this a piano? The coloring meets the challenge, and it is a little bit of an interesting abstract. Some people will love this. For me the soft focus along with the abstract nature don't work well together. There isn't a real focal point, except for the glare on the surface which leads to the window.
In my opinion the lines should lead the eyes to a more pleasing focal point. 5 Grayce

i bte you're getting marked down due to blurriness issues, right? not from me. this is my favourite type of photo. 10.

Sorry this has no meaning when I look at it. I can't tell what it is except from the title. It looks out of focus, maybe by purpose I don't know. Other than being blue I can't see why this shot was taken.

LOL.

excellent abstract!

Hmmmm. How about some studio Gels so you can change the light. Not augment the image. Remember people have to look at this stuff and find intrest in it. This is not pleasing to the eye.

interseting concept...i just wish it were a little bit more in focus.

nice attempt at abstraction, though too abstract to be a partially abstract photo and not interesting enough in a purely abstract sense to be a quality photo.
