 Escalators do break and you cannot use them. For years, every time I arrived back at the Providence Amtrak station the escalator was broken and roped off.

Shot at the local mall. Rode up and down the escalators using only a mono pod, expecting to get kicked out by Security. I did. But not before I figured out the right shutter speed and f-stop. The hard part was mounting the escalator and getting everything in place and steady before I was half way down or up. And...waiting for no one to be riding on it. Ended up with 1.5 seconds at 5.6.

Security nailed me finally and asked me to stop. They were polite. Got some strange looks from store clerks.

Edited mostly in ACR (CS5). Selective vibrance, levels and sharpening in PS.

Nice leading lines. There needs to be something else, though, something to add humor or drama, something memorable. This could be the addition of a person or some kind of background to give context. Could also be a scene of some sort, say perhaps the escalator breaking, or a shot showing people walking up and down a stationary escalator.
