This definately fits the challenge no question there that dog expresses the freedom we give to out pets.
Your score seems rather low to me...more than likely the busyness of the background...even though it is out of focus the background is very distracting and I'm sure it hurt you greatly.
Also a little more detail to the dogs head and face would have helped...although his colors make it hard to see the eyes, being able to see them would have helped as well. |

I thought that this image would have done far better than it did..it`s nicely composed and the abstract background created by the shallow DOF adds impact to the picture.
Deserved better.
