Set up:
In my garden with a black sheet behind me.
Sun over my left shoulder.
Camera on tripod with remote shutter cable.
Yellow liquid made with water, yellow jelly powder, yellow juice, and added flour and corn starch to make it thicker and less see through.

Water thrown at my with a cup and camera shutter released and flash firing as water hits me.

Post processing
RAW
Increased exposure, recovery and brightness. Adjust curves, and bump yellow saturation, decrease red.
Export to PS3
Clone out small spots, select water (increase saturation and add colour with blending mode), inverse selection and make background more black. Sharpen, resize and SFW.

Had fun doing this. My wife kept saying sorry after throwing the water at me.

You are very creative in your ideas for challenges..even radical at times :) LOL at your wife. Can even see this happening in front of me. My kids would have had a ball doing this to me..no sorry's from them. It's just the rounding off that lacks a bit.
1) green cast on the fluid - small nit Some PS could maybe have corrected this?
2) Skin tone/lighting on you
3) placing of "water" on you. Something you dont have control over and luck plays a major part in this

These are my nits and Im being hyper critical. I could never have done this better even if I tried. In all honesty I would have been out of frame every time...ducking. You truly are a sucker..lol

colors are beautiful but there is one thinf that catches my eye,
