 Perahera is a Sinhalese word meaning procession.

The Esala Perahera is held for the purpose of honoring the sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha. With the passage of time, the yearly ritual has assumed national significance. Esala has always been a time of thanks giving for good harvests and a period of joyful anticipation of crops to come. The Esala Pageant, as we see it today, has, behind it, history and legend, religion and mythology as old as the mists of time.

Very good scene, but IMNSHO, you should have concentrated on the movement and shadows in the lower right. The figures in the background are great, but they really don't go with the foreground. They need their own shot.
