I'm always amazed by the amount of power lines that zigzag across our cities. In the new subdivisions and developments, they are hidden, so the ice storms and winds don't affect the power as much, but these older style buildings and pole really give me a sense of nostalgia. |

I haven't seen sky like that in a while. Here we have thick grey cloud and it feels like winter (not even fall, we seem to have skipped that!. The colour of the houses compliments the sky very well. |

This looks like a close cousin to my cloud corral shot! The power lines do work here, providing a strong diagonal element that connects the house tops to the rest of the image.
And not to rub it in, but that's what our skies have looked like all week :-) |

power lines .. most ppl dont like them in a shot but sometimes they really work .. this is one of those times ..
they are the major player in your image .. the houses just peaking up .. nearly in homage .. am i reading too much into this photo ?!!
but it really works for me .. power to the houses .. they wouldnt exist without it ..
