A rainy sunday in Soho. Taken from my car window driving down Broadway last Sunday. My first submission. Looks a whole lot better on my 30 inch monitor.

A very interesting street shot. I live the bright golden colors and the motion blur.

I think the shutter speed may be a tad low. I can see some evidence of camera shake at the left door and the people aren't very sharp.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This an image with bags of appeal - the quality of the light and your choice of coloration make the building look as if it has been hewn from a block of gold. The figures almost look like placed toy figures (save for the motion blur), giving the image a stylised feel. I wonder about them and what kind of a day they were having.

Critical stuff: Nothing much.

Overall: A fine and quirky image.

I can not decide whether this is odd in an "artistic" sense or odd in a "it does not work for me" sense. Looks like a long shutter speed to get the motion blur, but also the focus is a bit soft as well. I do like the people and the maninkans, but the whole upper half of the photo seems unneeded. Perhaps crop it to a panled view on just the bottom half (just a smidge above top of the doors) would end up being a much stonger photo.
