 Thank you for the comments. Skip, I agree with you in general, but in this particular case, I have the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette to back me up. They ran a similar image with this caption just a few weeks ago. But not to worry -- I'm more than happy to leave photojournalism to the photojournalists.

Regardless of the topic, I like the sapes and textures throughout the image.

It's a little hard to make out since it's black and white, so perhaps color would have worked better? Regardless, nice shot - I like your composition.

i get what you're after from the caption, not from the image. a good pj image needs the story-telling elements in the image.
