 An example of how to mis read your own picture. This was taken at the Lincoln Morris Dancing Festival. The woman in blue is dancing. The man in the bra is from a different dance group, I thought he as the observer. In order to show that the woman was dancing I had to crop it in such a way that the man in black was cropped in. For me he wasn't a player in the scene, but everyone seems to have taken him to be the titular bystander - as if the person he is bystanding is bearded man. In retrospect this seems to me to be correct.

Which goes to show that sometimes other people know your own picture better than you do

don't quite know what to make of this on many many levels :-) its a great photo and I love the way its cropped and the way in which you've made the observer look like he is not at all interested ... but I expect he's looking at some other weird freak coming down the street ...

I wonder if this is the same event as the jogger in the wig? So bizarre. LOVE the foreground bokeh/bur.

I like the colors on this but perhaps there is too much going on? I'm not sure about that yet, I keep getting drawn to the guy with the beard and sunglasses but then the guy on the left of the shot tries to pull my eyes that way. I wonder how it would look cropping out the left. Nice work though.
