 No walking on water!
This lake has been dry or nearly so for most of the last six years or so. We have just had record breaking August rain and September has started off in the same vein. There have been (still are) lots of floods in my state. However all this water is good news for the lake.

Because there are intermediate stages between full and dry, warning signs were put up because people out fossicking were getting stuck, and had to be rescued.

Looks as though the warning was a bit late...
How deep is the water, and can you even normally see the sign? It looks as though it would be obscured by the foliage?
This photo leaves me a bit curious about the scene as a whole.
