 The landscape, the low clouds and the night sky are naturally underexposed (by virtue of the black of a moonless night) allowing the appearance of the star trails. Mostly, it was necessary to aim the camera towards the wilderness areas of Northern Colorado where there is little light pollution. The lights of Denver, Loveland and Fort Collins pollute the eastern sky.
