 Ever since I read what the challenge was this week, I have been thinking of this statue. I toyed around in my head with other ideas, but couldn't let go of this image.

I'm quite sure most of my comments will be about the pole in the lower left corner. I tried removing it, but decided it looked better with the pole, to sort of counterbalance the pillar of the statue. The other comments will be about the top left corner, my first attempts with the clone tool and the healing brush (removing a branch). I have still a lot to learn i realise...

tweaked the levels a bit (esp. red) and run it through NeatImage.

Really good composition perhaps a tad dark but does add impact specially with the sky as the backdrop. Overall meets the challenge and is a fine image. (8)

I would have given this at least a 9 if the image wasn't over-processed. There's a halo around everything in the foreground. Yes, sharpening makes things stand out in images, but this is a case of abusing a tool. I really like the composition and I wish you hadn't gone that far with the tools.

This crazy angle makes the viewer grab on to a table to stablilize - nice presentation! Wish there were more detail in the sculpture - hard to do against the bright sky, but with the advanced rules you could try a little burning/dodging. 7
