Wonderful. I'm enjoying looking at the entries at this end much better than the other colourful end :) |

I don't see the chair. Am I missing something? |

Ghostly!!! I get a spanish or mexican vibe off this because I see the face of Jesus in the misty blur... (Bottom left above the chair!!) |

WTF?? No, wait... I love a WTF photo. And when I think about the essence of a person... its vague, changing, a compilation of experiences and environment, scary, and a little foggy too. So this one is right on. What's cool here is it is more than just a superb photo of you mother or someone. There are those in this challenge too. (And they are so hard to do well.) So, do really learn something about the girl here? Haha.. of course not. But it is a very good visual definition of the essence of man, I think. By the way, when viewed up close, there is more essence visible. From farther away I just see the girl and the chair. |

Images like this immediately make me want to make up a story, explore it, linger over the little bits of information that emerge from the fog. |

Interesting, eerie shot...but perhaps a bit to 'impressionistic' for my tastes. |
