 I wanted to see what I could do with the new camera and the 70-300mm lens. The moon fills about a third of the frame's height, but this crops down to a decent sized image for the computer screen (1:1 pixel crop). The original is 1200x800 (not bad without a telescope), and then reduced to 800x533 for DPC.

I shot this in B&W and then applied a (digital) purple filter to it.
