It always irritates me as well that I can't post anything of children or my kids in challenges because they seem to get beat up, simply because they're of my kids. I've received the most rude comments on shots of children because voters assumed they were my children.
Having said that, I really like some things about this image. I like her expression and the arms in the air. I actually think she is engaging. I do agree that there's probably not enough contrast in colors for challenge entry. Additionally, the focus seems a little soft. I also would have increased the brightness and contrast on her eyes to make them pop a little and cloned out the glare of the saliva on her tongue.
All just my opinion of course. She's such a cute subject though... keep taking shots of her and entering them for those of us who do like baby shots. :) |

| What an incredibly adorable dress! I agree with Alicia, it probably needed more contrast for a FS. Plus, if you look, she's not really engaging the viewer - she's interacting with someone to the left. For a family memento tho, this is awesome! |

Wow - that's low.
I think it's because it's a baby - they score notoriously low. It's a good photo. Could perhaps have benefited from a little more brightness/contrast.
Too bad this wasn't appreciated - darling. |

| You just have to be careful with babies in a free study. I wonder if a sharper focused high contrast black and white might have served you better. It's an adorable image. :) |
