Location: San Antonio, Texas
Date: Sep 28, 2010
Aperture: F14
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/4
Galleries: Abstract, Interior
Date Uploaded: Sep 28, 2010

This is my first submission. This is a picture of a long corridor in the office building where I work. I thought it was interesting because when I stare at the linear structure, it blurs and becomes a very interesting abstract. That said, of course, I have no idea if others see or have the same viewing result.
This was done with the camera mounted on a tripod and placed in portrait orientation using a remote shutter activator. Camera settings were Aperture Priority Mode, F14, ΒΌ, 800.
Processing steps were: Invert Image, Crop, and Adjust Saturation/Hue

I like the geometry, shadows, and colors of this image. To improve your score, be sure to use the full size allowed in the rules -- 800 pixels on the longest side at 72 ppi. If you need help getting the right file size, check out this tutorial. It is a little out of date, because the rules have changed to allow larger images and file sizes, but the process is still valid.

Like the even lines, this is well balanced nice shot.

Seems to be somewhat crooked, but a fine concept.

Back to comment: An interesting subject and the conversion to a negative provided some fun colors.

On the technical side:
a) The image needs to be straighten a little. It is leaning to the left
b) The image is smaller than allowed in the challenge
c) You need to sharpen your image after you downsize it for the challenge. Almost ever image gets softer when downsized.

the image is a little tilted and just a bit small; otherwise I like the way it draws you into it and I like the colors as well

Nice perspective. I would like it bigger and a bit sharper, and maybe with a few different tones/colors, but the idea is solid and it's a very interesting shot. Certainly catches the eye.
