It is what happens when we are not looking. Or even when we are looking.

interesting. as in, I am interested by this. the title aids my interest. I think about the theory-driven art of the American post-surrealist crowd. But I like to think this is just a playful nod to that sort of thing.

Pleasure to look at. Simple, beautiful, moving.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: An interesting abstract to be sure - More piece of art than photograph - no bad thing. I like the coloration (reminiscent of a clive_patric_nolan image) - the yellow / bleeding to black looks like the end of an exposed or burnt piece of film.

Critical stuff: I imagine you'll get hammered for its lack of photographicness.

Overall: I'd have it on my wall.

A mystery. A clue. A dilemma. Sigh.

This is quite an interesting abstract but I think I would have been tempted to crop to exclude more of the pure black and white elements and balanced more with the interesting transition area, good luck
