My choice for blue. It's like it came out of a H.G. Wells book! Congrats on the PH yellow. |

This is awesome! I'm glad that it showed up on Don's radar for the award to bring it to our attention. |

terrific and ominous. look more like a gravure than a photograph (and I mean it as a compliment)

I've taken pictures at balloon events, so I know what a great achievement this photo is. That balloon looks the size of a city.

I would love to see what this one looks like in color -- but the b&w does capture the drama. |

Interesting choice to use B&W for a balloon burn shot. I am used to seeing the glowing colors in these type shots but I find the B&W strangely compelling and interesting. I love how the B&W accentuates the texture of the balloon and how the light from the burner is lighting the crowd up. Well captured and framed, good luck in the challenge! |

What a strange and interesting image. Looks like the entire ballon is about to swallow up the crowd. I'll be interested to read about it. |

I really like the B&W processing in this. The light and shadows on the creases on the balloon and the brightness of the flame gives this some drama/tension, especially with the crowd of people underneath. |

OMG!!! This is fantastic!!!! Such an unusual take on a popular subject. Simply awesome. And the choice of b/w is brilliant. Like moths drawn to the flame, or abductees drawn to the mother ship... The creases on the balloon are just melting my heart. |

The lighting from the flame and the way it catches the balloon is superb, works well in mono, great composition too, this should do very well |
