Hi Michel, since you didn't find my last critique useful enough to tick the box, I'll keep this one brief.
This is a rather nice shot - technically nice and crisp with good DOF and I think that you did a very good job with the lighting.
Artistically, I am not sure why you decided to cut the cup handle off half way down? Perhaps it was practical based on the amount of milk on your work surface... Either way I find the crop a little awkward - either tighter on the surface with the handle out of the way, or further back showing the whole curve of the handle would have worked better for me.
There are plenty of droplet shots on DPC, but this is sufficiently different, and well executed, to stand out. |

I love how the cup is so full that you can't see the white top in the back. It's a shame that you can see the reflections of your camera in the cup though. |

Like the picure, the thing that holds this back for me is the milk leaving the frame and the lack of the cup rim on the right - even so a great effort and worth trying again as I think if you get it right it would make a good print for the coffee addict :-) |

Water drop type images have been done to death and I usually struggle to find them appealing, but this one is a fantastic shot. Something a little different. The contrast of full white against full balck, tempered by the orange through red to brown really helps lift the image. I'm thinking this is a ribbon contender - though if there was 1 tiny thing I would change, it would be the trio of relections on the leading edge of the cup, as I find my eye drawn to them. It would be interesting to see how it looks without those tiny hot spots. Of course, that is just being nitpicky. |

very nicely done - a first I questioned the close up part of this but after looking at it for a day or two I will agree that this can be considered a close up (now I have a headache! lol) |

Gorgeous, and a nice variation on gyaban's . Though I'm not sure this qualifies as a macro. |
