I think the distressed look of the chalk adds a whole lot more credibility to this shot than if it were brand new.

| Interesting choice of color treatment -- I've noticed it is really hard to photograph this stuff and get the color the same as it looks in the pool hall. Maybe could be even darker/dingier to go along with your nice, well-used (abused) subject. |

Nice idea - I think the cue (tip) coming in from the right is a bit distracting.
(maybe because it's so close to the chalk?) |
