I sell home decor items at a local boutique, I use my photography in some of the things I make and sell. One item that is really a big seller around here is the Salt Lake City Temple. I got to go yesterday to take some new photo's. It is a really beautiful place but I was getting bored taking the kind of shots I need for my boutique. I saw this reflection in a pool at the foot of the temple and thought it would make a fun shot. I cropped it down to just the reflection, then flipped it. I think it turned out pretty cool. My only wish is that I was a little taller so that I could have gotten the whole reflection I had to crop a little more than I wanted off the top.

tph1I don't recall seeing a glass model, they have a large replica inside one of the visitors centers, with a cutaway so you can see what the inside looks like, since you can't go inside the temple.

This is really a neat shot of that temple. Gives a very glassy look to it. They have a large glass temple as part of the complex in SLC too don't they?

Beautiful reflection, I thought it was an overlay too. The tiles lead to the temple making a great 3D feeling, like you have some sort of a net over your head.

I like the way the lines run into the building

Very cool and I like the flip. I might adjust the levels a bit or increase the contrast some reduce the noise from the water.

Wonderful reflection! It even has a nice grid overlay drawing my eye right to the center of the building.

That makes for a cool looking reflection. Very painting-like.

Very nice interpretation of that building with the lines and clouds going through it.

but, like Kelli, I would suggest removing that brown stone at the top. Instead of enjoying the elegant pic, I keep moving up there to see what THAT is!

Just crop the stone piece out. It's a wonderful reflection, this looks like a fantastic water color that got shaken before it could dry! Love it!
