 Taken back in August at Solimar Beach. Used a 9ND filter to slow things down. I can't remember what I did to persuade the bird to stand still.

Santa Cruz Island on the horizon.

Love the bit of motion. But I think back to your shot of the homeless camp/umbrella on the beach. They are gone now...

Im sure if I came upon this scene I'd want to zoom in on the bird, and then I'd miss the big picture, which is so very soothing.

That bird must have been awfully still. The water is moving and he's standing there posing. Love the minimalism.

Did you get a model release? "D This is very lovely & shows of the natural abstract qualities of a seascape. I like the level horizon combined w/the angled FG. And of course the light is full of peace & tranquility.
