Smeared vaseline on the filter. Used live view to guide the smears. Rotating the filter altered the effect as well. Thicker smears helped to give the vignette.

It looks like a waterfall with trees in it. (Or elephant legs as PennyStreet suggested.)

Been thinking about trying the vaseline trick. I was reading about it on Eva Polak's site //www.evapolak.com/vaseline.html Thought it would be fun to experiment

I love the recycling, especially of trees. Very evocative.

"Thicker smears" sounds utterly slash & burn to me :-) "It's coming! It's COMMMMING!"

'It's in the trees! It's coming!' (End of Kate Bush/Night of the Demon reference)

Fantastic shot. Very eerie. Lovely that it is old school vaseline as well.

I came back to say that it's funny, when I first saw the thumb I thought it was going to be a herd of elephants.

Sorry Dale, forgot the title!

This is intriguing. All you need is a great title from the Abstract Art Titlegenerator and you're good to go.
