 When I saw this scene, it looked like a painting. I photographed it keeping the rocks sharp to draw contrast to the wavy reflections in the stream.

I almost blew past this in voting. It's subtle. I like the impressionistic patterns in the water juxtaposed against the foreground bank and rocks. Nice.

In the future, I would try to use the full 800 pixel dimension available to us. Also, I think the out of focus area in the bottom right hurts this.

This image is a perfect picture of October. The use of lighting is very good, it demonstrates still life and movement.
