 I made this photograph today, at a health clinic in Mali. The time was 11:57am and the sun was hot and harsh. This photograph is actually not indoors. It is outdoors. The woman is about to collect her medicine at the dispensary window and I noticed that the wall was bouncing some light back into her face and by going in tight, I managed to cut out the harsh background. I did some curves burning on the wall in photoshop but generally very basic editing.

I think the point of the challenge was to use direct harsh sunlight and here you have used the shade of the building. That is certainly a technique to overcome the harsh light at noon, but I think it missed the point of te challenge, which was to battle the harsh light when you had no choice but to shoot in it.

The angle of the shot makes it difficult see how this fits the challenge, this could have been taken at pretty much anytime.
