 My favorite shot from my Shenandoah trip this month. Of all my lenses, I had the most fun with my macro. Red leaves were few and far between on the hike on which this was taken so when I saw these I wanted to find a creative way to capture them. I liked the natural framing of the yellow leaves as well as the dark undergrowth that gave a nice contrast to the red colors. Editing included levels, saturation, Neat Image, resizing and unsharp mask. I might have liked to clone the patch of sky on the top right but wasn't sure if that would meet the intent of the rules. I didn't want to crop tighter as that would throw off the symmetry of the leaves.
