~~Critique Club Comment~~
COMPOSITION(Content)-
This is a unique idea. Only one of them this week. It is very simple. It just seems a plain. You've got good detail on it being that close. Having it in the Rule of Thirds would have been nice.
BACKGROUND- All those little green dots are kind of distracting. It just gives a wierd texture feeling to the picture.
CAMERA WORK- you did good with this. Shot is in focus. and clear. Good choice on the aperature and shutter speed.
DIGITAL PROCESSING- You did good in not having any noise from the camera. I might suggest if you have photoshop or another photo editing program and go into the selective color option and if you turn the black channel up to about 80 to 100% and the use the brightness and contrast you can totally get rid of all those bumps and keep the "login" about the same color.
MY OPINION- unique idea for the challenge. It didn't impact me personally that much. I went in and played with the color channels and "legally" edited for this site. If you'd like to see what it looks like just drop me a line. Hope I helped any. |

Thanks to the ones who commented on my photo. Especially to Konador pointing me to the tutorial about the rule of thirds :-) But I think applying the rule of thirds wouldn't have helped the photo in any way. I also couldn't crop more because it's the 640x427 crop out of a 2240x1680 original.
I agree that this is not the most interesting subject in the world ;-) The photo was the result of a more or less desperate search for something blue. I didn't have much time so I tried to quickly photograph something which was nearby. I think it's visible that I didn't put much effort into the photo and that's why I totally agree with the relatively low score.
See you next week :-)
P.S.: The monitor is about 5 years old.

I don't think this is the most interesting subject in the world to photograph, but I do think that even with it you could play around with different crops, maybe having the lettering on one of the horizontal "Rule of Thrids" lines. If you don't know what this means then you can find a tutorial on the rule of thirds in the Tutorials section of this site. |

interesting photo. very close in! pretty clear too. i don't know if the erratic spacing helps or hinders the overall picture. composition is good. overall pretty good, just lacks a wow for high score. |

REALLY a fun and cool, creative idea here. Love it. Was this a peg board on your monitor? Neat. Justine |
