 Koma Kulshan is the Native American name for Mount Baker, it means "White Steep Mountain". Mount Rainier, called "Tacoma" or "Tahoma", effectively means "larger than Koma (Kulshan)".


Shot with a circular polarizer at sunrise. Removed some dust, dodged a bit, burned some, just a touch of hue/sat but basically how the morning was, just beautiful. Awesome day all around...

Otherwise known as the Chain Lakes / Ptarmigan Ridge Trail? Love this area and great use of the steps in the foreground to lead you in. A bit soft and over use of contrast takes away from the scene a bit, IMHO of course. Keep at this one though as it is a great area for wonderful landscapes!
