I'm not sure what kind of a tree this is, but it is more of a tree rather than a fruit tree....it is about 12' or higher with an almost equal span...these are not cherries...the stems are different and they are not crabapples...the size of the berries are about quarter size...I'm trying to find out what they are...

Well I found out they are Tropical Apricots or Florida Apricots D. hebecarpa x abyssinica had to send the picture to the Edison/Ford Estates to get the ID...

I know they are berries from reading your description but the thumbnail made me think of plums....hmmm plumberries;-) I really like what the overlay does - gives this still life a sense of age/time.

Like apples engraved on a piece of metal, or reflected on a scratched metallic surface. Nice.

Oh I love those berries. I'm a grape and berry person anyway. All clustered together. Love the layer. It really gives it so much more.

What kind of berries are these? Wonderfully done with the overlay to give an aged look.
