Critique Club
Composition - I feel this image is spoiled by the inclusion of the snow in the foreground, If you had just the trees and that glorious sky it would have been a better composition.
Background - your sky is beautiful.
Camera work Your technical camera work is excellent beautifully exposed.The offending snow is also correctly exposed, it so often can look dingy and dull. Focus good.
Digital processing Maybe lighten the trees a tad.
My Opinion I liked the image but felt it just fell short somehow I think it didn't have a strong enough focal point, and the snow was
to distracting. |

| If you would have taken this into Photoshop and brightened the colors you could have gotten a really pretty image. |

| the snow's a little on the harsh side for the darkness of the trees and sky. those could use a little lightening. composition is interesting. 7 |

I guess the white must be snow on a hill but each time I look at this it just appears to me that the bottom of the picture hasn't loaded properly.
Because of the way in which it cuts off the bottoms of the trees in the shot it just doesn't seem right. It seems to be blocking my natural view rather than adding to the shot.
The sky is nicely captured. |

| Very sharp and crisp. Beautiful sky but what is that small square object in the middle of the sky? A kite? |

| On the thumbnail the snow looked like a border, wish there was a bit more detail there. Otherwise nice composition, subject and colors. |

| The snow looks overexposed which gives the illusion that the photo just has a white border along the bottom. I think a foreground subject would help - something just left of the middle maybe. A snowman, footprints, a sled....I dunno. |

| The texture in the sky is lovely and the way that the clouds lead to the trees is great. This could have been great with high contrast, to darken the sky and create a silhoutte of the trees. |

| could have intensified the colors a little to make the picture a little more dramatic. my eyes go to the trees but they are a little too far away for the detail of them to be pleasing. |

| Hey I had this same idea. Glad you did it, mine wouldn't of been this good. Nice sky and a yummy color of blue. Maybe a little on the dark side. Justine |
