 This barn and the other I have posted are in Finland, not the US. This is in the Finnish Archipelago, at a tiny village called Grännäs

I'm so addicted to this technique of using the texture as the background, and then adding the image as the overlay. I think the effects are so appealing.

I can feel the rough weathered wood of the red barn with the addition of the overlay. It is a nice compliment to this rustic country scene.

You are doing such a great job with these textures. My husband spent some time in Finland years ago, he even like to think he can still speak Finish a little, but I kind of doubt it.

Sometimes layering can be subtle. This just gives it an old down home feel which couldn't be more perfect for a barn!!

Wow, such a gentle picture! The texture doesn't overwhelm it, but give it just enough body to make it quite interesting. Very beautiful.
