One day travelling down the 417, I noticed some deer in a field. I took the next exit and parked. Deer were hanging in the field, adjacent to a bike path. So a little hike and I was shooting like mad. The whole area was a great discovery. Deer were abundant.
So for the next shoot, I took out Snaffles. We walked the train tracks, ending up beside a marshy area. It was eery, when I saw the first deer. As I did not pick him up from movement. I just recognized a deer head, near the ground, surrounded by grass. He was just starring me down. Roughly 60 feet away.
We took some shots at our leisure. He was quite relaxed actually. I eventually worked my way closer. Probably getting within 40 feet. This made him stand, but as you can see he was cool. Just chewing away, vertical style. Eventually, he strolled away. It was a great experience. Oh and thanks Snaffles, for the tittle and company. Always fun!
