Well another lesson learned. Think about what you do and check the rules even though you think you know them...
Check the editing steps against the rules. Gausian blur and duplicate layer.
Disqualification Details
You may use only Adjustment Layers (or their equivalent). An Adjustment Layer is a special type of layer containing no image data that lets you experiment with color and tonal adjustments without permanently modifying the pixels. Adjustment Layers must be applied in Normal mode.

I think the problem was that you used a duplicate layer, right? I never would have known that you used gaussian blur. Man - if gaussian blur was the only extra thing then you did a great job technically of getting a gorgeous shot. The DQ sucks but it doesn't take away from the magic you captured here :)

Nice shot Rian. The visuals are very good and the sky and land are perfectly exposed. I suspect the greens are slightly over saturated though :-)
