This is the lake by my house. This is a busy spot in the summer. And even in the winter it gets busier when it ices over for ice fishing. But late fall is very quiet, a great time for photographs. I wish I could have gotten a little more contrast in the clouds in the sky, but I just love the way the beacons turned out.

I think the sky adds a lot to the moodiness of this photo. To me it kind of looks foggy and peaceful. Good composition, by the way.

I don't think there was much more contrast available. Looks good as it is. What is the white spot on the right shoreline?

I don't know, I kind of like the lack of contrast in the clouds. It gives it a consistent "blue" feel. Very serene. It immediately reminded me of this shot I took of Lake Lucerne in 2002. You've got a lot better clarity in your image though. I was using a 4 MP camera at the time.
