I gave this an 8 during voting, but I kind of agree with ursulathat maybe it's just a wee bit too perfect. I love the idea. I also really like the black and white version. This other one really stikes me too - - rather than going around and around it kind of goes down the path of no return. Nice job!! |

The idea behind the Posthumous Ribbon is to encourage you to break the rules, to find new and different ways to express yourself. To free your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come, to laugh at world and at life, not doing what others are expecting you to do, but just following and listening to what's in your heart. DPC it̢۪s a wonderful learning place where everyone should be supported on their way to be a photographer. A special attention should be aimed to those working hard with different views and approaches to photography, those not aligned with the mainstream taste and receiving no recognition. It̢۪s our responsibility to support these photographers creating diversity and expressing different visions. Being active at the Posthumous thread it̢۪s the best way to do it. Being active at the Posthumous thread it̢۪s the best way to protect your and the other̢۪s freedom of being different. Thanks for taking the time to enter this challenge. Stay wild. |

This does feel extremely malevolent. A combination of the colors, swirling motion and reaching tree branches. Well done. |

A beautiful vortex. This effect can look cliche in the wrong hands, but it holds up nicely here. |

"To vain and gilded promise of the night
And never more distinguish wrong from right."
I'm usually not specially fond of "circular" effect but in this photo it works like a charm, like a strong whirpool or tornado sucking the energy or vital strengh.
Very nice !

This looks like an eye (with eyebrows, lashes, and hair) seeing all. |

That rotation looks so perfect, almost too perfect maybe. I imagine you putting the lens against a window and spinning it while holding down the shutter button, or something like that. So I imagine looking through a window, or a bottle, at the sunset. It's like a bit of a drunken photo, but not drunk enough to get things wobbly. The colours are pretty. It doesn't give me much of a feeling of devouring though, it's too cheerful for that. |

Feels like a person could get pulled into this..and devoured. Yikes. Nicely done and good title. |

Interesting use of motion blur. Feels like an evening star trail. Can't say I ever have seen anything like that before. |

I like the movement, and the focus away from the sunset. |

This is one of my top choices for the challenge. Nice abstract. Having trouble with commenting and scoring in this challenge, however, this one I liked for itself. |

I had initially submitted a like-minded shot but my execution and outcome were about 20 floors below this one. Excellent composition and all around wonderful shot. Not overdone. Just right. Great work. |

i believe this art, and photography in one. I give this a ten because it achieves both the artistic rendering of a vision, while at the same time requiring a relatively high technical skills in order to be executed. It is not randomly blurred. It was blurred with precision. And the blurness is not because you lacked the skill and equipment. It is blurred because it was intended to be. |
