Thursday I took Sofia to one of our buildings at work (used to be the Expedia.com call center before we took it over) I knew it would be mostly unpopulated and I have been dying to shoot there with the big windows and exposed brick. We fired off about 150 shots on the fifth floor and the lobby. I will post a bunch more from this session after the challenge.
In lightroom: exposure,clarity,vibrance
in photoshop: lens correction to straighten the horizon, crop, usm, clone out the string from the blinds on the window sill.
Sofia continues to mature and amaze me. she has no formal model training, it just seems to come naturally. she keeps moving and i just shoot. a little perspective on how she has grown and changed since i joined this site:
One of my first challenge entries when she was 13:

This entry nose dived to a 5.4 the first 2 days so I am relieved to see it, at this point, at a 6.19. I had it pegged for a 6.2 before voting began |

I really like this one, like to composition, lighting from the window, lots of depth from shallow DOF as well as the lighting. I just wish the face looked sharper. Not sure why its not looking sharp as the hand and the brick behind looks sharp so I can only assume is motion on the subject? |

She cuts across the frame most elegantly. |

Nice pose; like how she is looking over her shoulder toward out the window. Nice lighting; looks like all natural light from the window. I'm gonna guess this is a self portrait because her (your?) face is soft compared to her hip. You can see how in focused the material of the shirt is at the hip, which seems to indicate the focus point. Regardless, still a nice portrait. |

A very beautiful and well composed image. The softness and lighting works so well for me. |
