 We were having a blizzard here in Minneapolis. My wife had her girlfriends over for a little party and they decided to go for a walk in the snow. They wanted their picture taken outside... so... given it was pitch black, I fired up an off camera flash and put it behind them.

Not a perfect fit for the song, nor was it planned for this challenge, but seemed like a decent fit.

Post processing in Lightroom 3
- sharpen
- noise reduction
- some color and contrast tweaks

The grain is snowflakes. It was during a blizzard. There is no film grain/noise visible.

Superb - firstly one of the most recognizable songs in the collection - one of the most iconic - and you gave it an original twist that's both innovative and in character with the spirit of the song. Super!

Very cool. You did a fabulous job with the snowflakes, and the long shadows are divine. Don't know why, but this really appeals to me, more and more the longer I look at it.
