A yummy treat indeed - which means you've got this right in the main.
Your lighting, focus and subject are superb, with the exception of the arrangement of the cake which does look messy (not enough to put me off however!). You have a slight green tinge on top of the cake which is a little off-putting, despite probably being a reflection of something natural. The crop is too tight at the top and too wide lower down, but otherwise it is a good composition. Exposure is also very well spread.
Hope you enjoyed eating it!

| I would have left just a few mms more space on the top, and somehow I would have skipped the dark corner on the bottom left. Otherwise a great photo! Lighting is spot on, colours and sharpness are great, I would really like to taste it! :-) (9) |

| Lovely lighting and composition. The colours and textures work really well. This looks really luxurious. I would have cropped it with a little more on top and a little more to the right. Beautiful Image. |

| the flower adds a nice touch to it. it sepporates it from some of the other pictures. keep up the good work! AND...if you made this piece of cake then I think you should consider becoming a chef? maybe? LOL. just kidding, but it does look like a professional baked it! Great job and awsome picture! |

| I really like the idea, the light and the composition. But when I want to look at pictures of food, I don't want to see someones left overs. I personally feel that this image would have been stronger if the dessert was whole. |

| Nice macro shot. Great white balance and the flower create a nice contrast with the chocolate brown tone. |

| Very well taken; composition, color and focus are flawless. However, the chocolate dessert looks a bit slimy and unappetizing. Also, the flower seems a bit over the top. |
