I've received a couple of comments saying that the child is too far away. The purpose of this photo wasn't to show the child with the sled. Rather to bring back the feelings and experiences for those of us who have been sledding as a child.

Remember what it was like? The first snow of winter... Sitting at the top of a long hill. Looking down... thinking of how big the hill is. Thinking about how incredibly fast the sled will be going. Excited, yet a little scared...

I wanted to have this much hill (actually even a little more if we had bigger picture sizes) to show just how small you feel when you're sitting up at the top as a child.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments, and thanks for the critical comments -- a good reminder that we don't all have the same experiences. I'm always grateful to know why a picture doesn't work for someone.

I feel the child is too distant. I'd try a closer crop, even vertical format.
