Well, I like this one better than week 1 (although both are beautiful).
The shallow river (?) drawing the eye in is what tipped the scales for me. |

Like this one - the ice on the stream rather than the continuous snow cover adds contrast and makes a more interesting shot (IMHO) |

I definitely like this one as the snow is nice and white and the contrast is rich. |

I love contrasty photos. The snow looks like icing. The tree shadows create such an interesting pattern. |

Great composition. Nice contrast without it being too much, which is easy to do with tree/shadow vs. snow shots. Beautiful scene. |

Really like the gentleness of the snow edges and the horizontal shadows. Maybe more definition in the trees, but it's a tough one with all that bright snow. |

It looks way too cold for me, but this is a pretty photo. I like the shadows across the snow & ice. It might be interesting to combine two or three of these processed at different exposures to help bring out some detail in the top of the photo. Regardless, it's a beautiful shot. |

love the extreme contrast! This would make a killer photo in frame for a pop on the wall. Stark, semi mysterious, and excellently shot. |

the trees are very black on my monitor, don't know if you made that choice, but I have noticed that sometimes the shadows get dark after uploading. Don't know why. Nice photo. Thought the walkway was going to be an iced river. |

Wow. Straight lines, both horizontal and vertical broken by the wave of the path. Great BW! |

I like the way the frozen stream draws you into the shot. I don't know if you darkened the trees deliberately but I feel it's missing a bit of detail I would like to see. |

I love it. I actually like the strong contrast. More details on the trees might distract from the main element you intended to show (I guess) - the shadows on the snow and the curved frozen creek. The black trees put a lot of weight and make me look at the creek and the snow. |

Like mitalapo, I would have liked to see a little more texture on the trees in the upper half, but otherwise very nice. Love the shadows. |

A little more light at the top to separate the trees and this would have been perfect. The contrast makes it look like a woodcut print. |

Ahhh, long shadows, I've been looking at these for a couple years trying to figure out how to make a decent shot of them. I like how these look so horizontal compared to the trees that look so vertical, but not quite vertical, sort of vertical falling over. I wish the trees at top had a bit better light, to see a bit more of their structure; it is difficult to make pictures in bright light such as in this scene. I also sort of wish the frozen creek were not cut off at far left. I do like the graphic feel of the image. I am wondering what hunkering down a bit further (getting closer to the snow to make the picture, or, a lower viewpoint) would do for a composition such as this one. Or maybe, climb a tree and make a picture from up high, hmmmmm. I like the little bits of snow at the sides of some of the trees.
Good start.
