excellent composition for this shot. gives a very eerie feel, haunting almost. reminds of parts of germany, on a ghostly early morning walk through the fog. this is definitely going into my favorites |

My first thoughts when I saw this were "foggy" & "dreamy." I see from reading the other comments that these descriptions have already come up several times. Personally, I like the shot a lot, but have to admit, I don't really know how to judge pin hole shots. I certainly look forward to seeing more of them from you this year, though. |

Really brilliant shot. The soft focus, and washed out look give this photo a lot of flavor. If that makes any sense?!?! |

Wonderful composition. Interesting about adding the fog with CEP, I would be interested to see what it looked like without. |

I especially love the pole in the front. Its like its acting as a guard for the rest of the photo. The tree in the back is very lovely and soft. |

Not bad! In some ways a bland sky adjusts to BW better than a nice blue sky. This feels misty/foggy because of the grey tree. |

I love this effect, it pops out at you, almost in 3D! The minute I looked at it I wondered how it was done, so really nice to see you left the details :)
Great shot, and I'm sure it would also make a great print. |

Perfect title. =) Love the softness, makes it seem like this is merely a figment of someone's memory. |

It works like a time machine, creating 19th century pictures of the present. |

I, too, am curious to know whether it was foggy or whether the pinhole just lends itself to that effect. Also, I like the symbolism that "California" is just on the other side of a fence...or maybe I'm reading too much into it. :) |

I'm curious about something ... in reading a little about pinhole photography, one of the things mentioned is clarity throughout. This photo is rather "glassy" (or "foggy" looking. How is that done with pinhole? Was it a foggy day? Or is it the long exposure? |

Wonderful composition. It's balanced and unbalanced at the same time. Overall, it does have a certain gravity to it. |

I really like the contrast thing you have going on here.
So far as balanced, I find the pole in the front balances the tree in the back and there's a large implied triangle too.
I think I'm thinking too hard though. |
