"The Favorite Cat." Nathaniel Currier, hand-colored lithograph, postcard version with frayed edges and thumbtack mark, cunningly obscured by the edge of the OED magnifier. Actually more laboriously than cunningly - the whole thing is full of more compromises than art, a kind of prostitution for the sake of the silliest of puns. But I do like the cat as well as the Mozart.

Oops, big oops. I meant Bach.

It's still #1 for me from a lot of points of view. I am too new to the game to understand the 5.329 score that "Magnificat" got - I read that someone wrote the "dreaded 5.0 score" (in which I tend to swim now also, in splendid company I see which make me so humble).

I'm giving you clever points. Feels like it could have been staged with more thought. With a rectangular subject as well as a rectangular mag glass- you could have really had fun with these shapes.
