I appreciate the honor you bestow upon this silly entry in awarding it a *Brown* ribbon. Special thanks to our cat who also was featured in another *Brown* ribbon winner, "Kitty Nose with Appel". Since a cat and a dog have recently been featured in the ribbon circle on the homepage, and since this border feature keeps "cropping" up on DPC, I thought I'd try an Xtreme entry mixing in these revered elements.

You're not slamming my cat, now, are you?? (No one was more surprised, by the way. A cat. Of all things.)

I think it needs a tighter crop, you can still see the cat. Perhaps the border could have a border. Anyway you got a 6 out of me, spend it wisely.

Not surprised this was yours. An effective thumbing of your nose at the "border patrol". Also, congrats on adding another brown to your extensive collection.

And red eyes and harsh light and an unusual crop. Certainly not a soothingly balanced image, but I can't quite figure out what effect it's supposed to have so it's tough to say if it's effective or not.

i dont really understand what is meant by balance, so i have just been looking at this as a free study, that being said, i am guessing by the shot and the border and the title, you were just trying to be funny so i wont go into any detail as far as critque

hahaha
Hope your comments have been good. A notable attempt at brown that may be foiled for the very reason that it's apparent.
You did an awesome job of making the obnoxious evil eyes pop.
The pose of the cat almost makes it feel like it's getting crushed between the borders as in a trash compactor.

It's not only about border style... I think that the use of flash killed the image.

Love the border and the red eyes on the cat really add the final touch!
