 A Valentine's Day ducky, a crudely-carved piece of red bell pepper, some string and some Christmas lights.

Title based on the story The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe.

Hearts, mask and bondage by ropes all on a cute rubber duckie in the dark . . . this presents a magical little twist that delights me! 8

I'd never have guessed there was a vegetable in this photo without your caption (nice caption, btw). Seems under-exposed and the color balance is off, or at any rate I can't tell the color of the mask.

Not very clear what's supposed to be going on here. The fairy lights seem to be giving everything a strange red cast.

Creative and tough to execute. Good job though. He looks like a lover and not a fighter though, with those hearts. Part of the disguise?

I gave this a 4, here are the reasons I did that. Your picture is very grainy, you did capture the fairy lights very well they are good, I am guessing a high ISO or long exposure, those are the main reasons for the yellow tint and grain n You also have red hot spots in some areas that could have been cloned otu to make a better picture. It is difficult to really see that your veggie is a red pepper, it is a cool idea though, but for sure you need more light on your subject. At the bottom where you duck is sitting on the black cloth(?) it is almost too sharp of a line, as though it cut copied and pasted there, a little smoother and again lighting would have helped this.
