My mother's, mother's father, the Right Reverend Shepard Halsey Werlein was the Rector of this Parrish until his death when my mother was 27 days old. I never met him but saw the love his congregation had for him every time I looked up through the large round stained glass window at the rear of the church. This was not my home church but every time I enter through the main entrance here, I am reminded that someone a long time ago entered the same way I was now. History has a way of smacking us in the head when we are not looking if you and your family stay in the same place long enough.

Just checking back in because I liked your photo! f4 @ 1/25... Was this hand held? That may be why it looks slightly OOF. Or if it was on a tripod and you used the IS, that may have thrown it off too. I find the EF-S lenses quirky that way. Anyway, your use of perspective shows you have the photographers eye! Keep up the good work!

Nice perspective. Super sharp, nice tones in the stone.

Awesome perspective. The shot overall looks slightly blurry and there is a blue cast over the picture. Also looks like the building outline suffers from some mean chromatic abberation or possibly the outline of the building was selected and the sky was made to look blurry.
