Greetings from the Critique Club :)
I think this is an excellent 'abstract' image. I enjoy playing guitar, so this is a common object for me.
The first thing I noticed when I saw your picture was your depth of field. At first I was questioning the very open f/stop (probably f/1.8?) But then I noticed that the one shimmering light is falling right onto the focused part of your image. This, of course, adds to it greatly.
You played the leading lines very well, and though it is an abstract, everyone can still recognize what the subject is.
To comment more on the lighting. I do like the lightly lit guitar, but I wish there was more seperation between it and the background. I'm guessing that this was window lit.
I enjoy the black and white. Color might have taken away from the mood of the image.
Overall, this image is very nice, and I agree that it would look good as a huge print on the wall. Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more images from you.

I love this image! though I think you didn't realize its potential. The shallow DOF probably works a little against you. the inlaid patterning around the hole is probably beautiful and would have worked nicely if it was at least partially focused. Outstanding response to the challenge! |

Good perspective; unfortunately, not enough focus for my tastes. |

I would have liked a bit more focus. It's an intruiging picture because of the 'motion' in it, but i am not sure if the b&w adds to it. 6 |

Something needs to be in focus. I like your idea, but you need to give the image a focal point, generally by bringing a part of the image into focus. |
