Thanks for the comments guys.

Image sharpness is one that I have been desperately trying to achieve. This one may be soft indeed, part due to PP, and part due to my inexperience with a 2.8 70-200. I find it difficult to get a blurred bg and sharp subject with it, but i have seen it done by others, so that's what Im trying to learn too.

This was actually a Sigma 70-200 mounted for alpha.

if the details are correct and this was shot at 2.8 thats where your problem may lie. its hard to get shaprness at that fstop even on the part the lens is focusing on

Nice pose, great outfit. I like the shallow DOF.

I really like the pose, that's where I struggle most with portraits.

This has several things going for it. Pretty model, good pose, and great contact with the camera. The nitch as you know is the softness on the eyes. I don't mind the shallow DOF. the issue is nailing the focus on the eyes at that dof.

I agree with the face and the slight softeness, but i really like the image, its strong but not too strong, perfect.

I'm not familiar with the Sony lens line-up but I like what it has done for you here; personally, I like the narrow DOF.

It's a little soft on just one side of the face (maybe from noise reduction?), that kind of throughs it off. But, she's a beautiful model, the pose and lighting look great.
