My children learn at home, rather than going off to school each day. This means a lot of work for me, but it also means that I have always had the joy of having my kids with me all day. We have plenty of time for games, long conversations, and leisurely walks to the mailbox. Here's my eleven-year-old daughter Claire on a winter afternoon, generously pausing long enough to let me grab a picture of her on our way back from a walk.

That's a lovely shot of your daughter. No doubt one of the many rewards of home schooling is a closer parent/child relationship, as there is not so much potential for peer group pressure.
