|Not necessarily THE best shot I took last year, but one of the best or, more accurately, one of the shots that I think has a chance to score well around here. :-)
Taken the day after my 50th birthday, while driving up Hwy 100 towards the Mad River Valley. The falls itself is not that tall, maybe 10-12 feet, and its right by the side of the road with a boardwalk set up for everyone to take their snapshots. I hopped down and shot this one from the rocks below the boardwalk ... and only got two quiok snaps off before nature called and I had to race back towards the car. TMI, I know, but the fact that I arrived, set up and grabbed this capture in just a couple minutes is one of the things that makes it one of the best of 2010 for me. (And, yes, before you comment, I don't typically shoot this way and take a lot more time with my subjects, and did repeatedly on this trip ... which makes it even funnier to me that this is one of the shots I like best from the trip!)
